Produced in the Monferrato UNESCO World Heritage area for over 300 years, this wine is enjoyed in the Piemonte region and along the Ligurian coast – where it pairs wonderfully with the local staples of fish and seafood. Lemon-white in colour and flavour, this Piedmontese classic comes from perfect wine growing country – hot as hell in summer, with beautifully crisp and dry snowy (usually) mornings in winter. It’s a spectacular combination and this Cortese just oozes it.
Meet The Producer
Azienda Agricola Franco Roero is a fourth-generation family winery, farming 15 hectares of vineyards and run by a straight-talking, no-nonsense type of guy who’s just like his wines. Franco’s family has been making wine here since 1894 and he personally manages the whole wine production process – from pruning the vines to harvesting, fermentation and even sales.
